“ Had Breakfast in Rise and it did not disappoint. Staff so friendly and welcoming. Drink selection was very good, I got a freshly squeezed orange juice, 10/10. “ Came in on Tuesday morning around 10am we were greeted on entrance and seated promptly. It’s nicely fitted out with good decor. All the staff were really friendly and the food was excellent, really tasty, fresh and hot. I opted for eggs Benedict with bacon. The poached eggs were perfect. I’ll definitely be back. ”

We opted for the sausage and egg roll with added bacon, and the steak and eggs. Both were beautifully presented and quickly devoured. I also really enjoyed the cinnamon bun latte that looked and tasted spectacular. The shop was really busy and our only seating option was the counter, but that was absolutely fine and didn't affect the service, which was friendly and prompt. I'd definitely stop by Rise. again and was excited to see they have a couple of locations in Preston, where we're off to next! ”

The food and drinks were absolutely delicious! The cafe has a youthful vibe with energetic music playing. While the music wasn’t exactly to my taste for a mealtime setting, that’s just a personal preference - and honestly, we were so hungry and happy with everything else that it didn’t matter much. I’d definitely return and would recommend it for tasty food and a lively atmosphere. ”
“ We had the golden glow smoothie, the Turkish eggs and the eggs Benedict. All of the food was of great quality and taste. Sadly there are no halal options so we went for the veggie ones. Staff was friendly and they accommodated us by cooking the eggs thoroughly and making sure the halloumi is grilled on a separate pan ”
“ We have been doing coffee mornings around York every Monday and Rise. Is currently holding the top spot. The service was top-notch, we were welcomed in and given water without having to ask. You have to order at the till but honestly, I actually prefer this as it takes the pressure off of taking your time to decide what you want. The coffee was great, I went for a Vanilla Chai but even more impressive was the Breakfast Roll which, as pictured, what huge! I’m genuinely impressed and when I want to spend more money to get a better experience, this is my new pick in York. ”

Wild mushrooms are absolute class and the pouched egg is cooked to perfection! Amazing service with full smiles! This is exactly where i could se myself checking on regular basis if i lived in York. The concept of it all is great! Highly recommend it, you definitely have to eat here! PS: IT IS NOT EXPENSIVE which is just a cherry on top! ”
